Bear Lake Ultra

Over the past 5 years the race has had over 430 runners, ran over 17,000 miles, and

raised over $28,000 for the camp. 

 

The 2023 BLU goal to raise $12,000 for the camp to help fund some of the following camp needs:

 

          -  New safety golf carts               -  Update kitchen shelving.        - Install automatic doors.

       -  Updating LED lighting              -  New Fire alarm.                     - Challenge course supplies.

 

Lions Bear Lake Blind Camp is owned and operated by “Lions Visually Impaired Youth Camp, Inc.” a 501C-3.

The camp opened its doors in July 2000 starting with only 53 campers.  They now host over 500 campers with special needs every year.  Bear Lake is financially supported by the Lions, Lioness and Leos, as well as Foundation grants and individual donors throughout Michigan.
